Durham - Amendments to Parking & Waiting Restrictions & Parking Charge Exemptions

What is happening?

The County Council of Durham

The Council proposes to make the Orders below under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32 & 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of each order is described below:

(DURHAM CITY SOUTH EAST) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026. Article 10 (1) will be amended removing reference to Good Friday and Bank Holidays and inserting Boxing Day (26th) to read as follows:- Initial Charge 10. (1) Subject to Article 32 of this Order, no person may leave or cause any vehicle to be left in a parking bay other than on such days and during such hours as identified in Schedules 3 & 4 to this Order, other than Christmas Day (25th) Boxing Day (26th) and New Year’s Day (1st), except upon the payment of the charge referred to in paragraph (5) of this Article. THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (DURHAM CITY (NORTH WEST)) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026. Article 12 (1) will be amended to remove reference to Good Friday and Bank Holidays and Boxing Day (26th) inserted to read as follows:- Initial Charge 12. (1) Subject to Article 41 of this Order, no person may leave or cause any vehicle to be left in a parking bay other than on such days and during such hours as identified in Schedules 4 & 5(a) to this Order, other than Christmas Day (25th), Boxing Day (26th), New Year’s Day (1st) except upon the payment of the charge referred to in column E of Schedule 4, and New plan reference DX142 inserted into Schedules 1,2 and 8 of the order. THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (DURHAM CITY (SOUTH WEST)) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER NO.1) 2021 AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026 article 14. (1) will be amended to remove reference to Good Friday and Bank holidays and Boxing Day (26th) inserted to read as follows:- Initial Charge 14. (1) Subject to Article 38 of this Order, no person may leave or cause any vehicle to be left in a parking bay other than on such days and during such hours as identified in Schedules 6 and 7 to this Order, other than Christmas Day (25th), Boxing Day (26th) and New Year’s Day (1st) except upon the payment of the charge referred to in paragraph (5) of this Article. (Reference number 15522520)

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM (DURHAM CITY NORTH EAST) (PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2015 (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026 article 14. (1) will be amended to remove reference to Good Friday and Bank Holidays and Boxing Day (26th) inserted to read as follows:- Initial Charge 14. (1) Subject to Article 41 of this Order, no person may leave or cause any vehicle to be left in a parking bay other than on such days and during such hours as identified in Schedules 7 and 8 to this Order, other than Christmas Day (25th), Boxing Day (26th), New Year’s Day (1st), except upon the payment of the charge referred to in paragraph (5) of this Article.(reference number 15522521)
