 TEMPORARY ONE WAY & TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Park Avenue South, Northampton as set out below. There will also be a temporary one way system in place and temporary no waiting at any time.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Park Avenue South, Northampton from Billing Road to Christchurch Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during highway improvement works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd June 2026 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted until 21st October 2026.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Rushmere Avenue, Bedford Road, Cliftonville Road, Alfred Street, St Edmunds Street and Wellingborough Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Vicarage Road, Northampton as set out below.

That length of Public Footpath LB5 to be closed commences off Upton Valley Way North at Point A on the map at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP7094 5976. The route proceeds generally east for 1156 metres to point B at NGR SP7202 5977 where it meets Upton Lane. The route to be closed is shown on the map by a solid black line between points A-B.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route commences off Upton Valley Way North at point A on the map at NGR SP7094 5976. The route then proceeds generally south-east along a track for 1350 metres to point C on the map at the junction with Upton Lane at NGR SP7209 5943. The route then proceeds west of north along Upton Lane for 350 metres to meet point B at NGR SP7202 5977. The alternative route is shown on the map by a broken black line between points A-C-B.

The route is shown on the map by a solid black line between points A – B. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative route starts at point A at NGR SP7673 5776. The route travels generally south along the highway footway of The Green and then The Warren for approximately 494 metres to point C at NGR SP7669 5727. The route then heads east along the highway footway of Newport Pagnell Road, crossing Landimore Road, and continuing for a total distance of approximately 728 metres to point B at NGR SP7735 5702.

(PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS)  ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council, in exercise of their powers under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, propose to make an Order to prohibit any vehicle proceeding in a south-easterly direction along Nene Way from turning right into Mill Lane, at Dallington Grange, Northampton.

The proposed restriction is intended to improve road safety and to ensure consistency with the one-way traffic arrangement on Mill Lane at this location.
