Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Scale of Charges detailed within Schedule 2 and to add definitions for ‘Peak Season’ means the period between 2 March and 31 October and ‘Low Season’ means the period between 1 November and 1 March to Part 1, 2(1) of the North Somerset Council (Various Sites) (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Variation 4).

The new charges that apply will change from 8:00am on 6 July 2026

Hawthorns Car Park, Clevedon (charges apply between 8:00am until 6:00pm), new charges for peak season, with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £5.10 (£5), all day £8.10 (£8), new charges for low season, with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £2.70 (£2.60), all day £4.10 (£4).

Salthouse Fields Car Park, Clevedon (charges apply between 8:00am and 6:00pm), new charges for peak season, with existing charges in brackets, 1 hour £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £5.10 (£5), all day £8.10 (£8), new charges for low season, with existing charges in brackets, £1.60 (£1.50), 4 hours £2.70 (£2.60), all day £4.10 (£4).

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the North Somerset Council (Various Sites) (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Variation 4) and all variations will remain in force.

NORTH SOMERSET COUNCIL - Notice Of Variation: On-Street Parking Charges
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 46A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Scale of Initial Charges detailed in Article 37 of the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and any subsequent variations.

The new charges that apply will change from 8:00am on 6 July 2026

All existing P&D parking places (Weston-Super-Mare), these charges apply between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Saturday, 20 minutes new charge £0.50, existing charge £0.40, 1 hour new charge £1.70, existing charge £1.60, 2 hours new charge £3.70, existing charge £3.60, 3 hours new charge £4.70, existing charge £4.60.

All existing P&D parking places (Leigh Woods), these charges apply all week between 9:00am and 9:00pm, 1 hour new charge £1.30, existing charge £1.20, 2 hours new charge £2.10, existing charge £2, 3 hours new charge £3.70, existing charge £3.60, 4 hours new charge £4.70, existing charge £4.60, all day new charge £6.70, existing charge £6.60.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 - Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
West Town Road, Backwell, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists - Date coming into force: 13 July 2026 - Ref: T26-58
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway surfacing works and will become operative on 13 July 2026. The closure will be in place between 8:00pm and 6:00am. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works, anticipated to be 14 nights.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Colliters Way, Brook Gate and Longmoor Road, Long Ashton, North Somerset - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026 - Date coming Into Force: 13 July 2026 - Ref: SW26.27-052
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to allow a traffic management phase switch. This order will become operative on the 13 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 47 nights in duration between 8:00pm and 6:00am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order will become operative on the 24 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9:30am and 3:30pm. This order will become operative on the 25 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 111 days in duration.
