CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STATION LANE, MILLBROOK)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Lane, Millbrook 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable level crossing maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11pm on 11 July 2026 to 11am on 12 July 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Station Lane, Sandhill Close, Houghton Lane, Millbrook Road, Ampthill Road, Woburn Road, Bedford Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road, Bedford Road, Station Road, Station Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 11 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Lane, Houghton Conquest outside Brookside House.

This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 7 July 2026 between the hours of 0900-1600. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Chapel End Rd, A6, London Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 7 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Townfield Road, Flitwick approx. 20m south oj Junction with Vicarage Hill.

This temporary closure is required to enable pole replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 7 July 2026 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Vicarage Hill, Townfield Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 6 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 9 July 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Station Rd, Marston Rd, High St, Bury Ware, A507, Sandhill Close, Station Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on

7 July 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Brogborough 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable a level crossing inspection to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 26 June 2026 from 11pm to 4am. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Station Road, A507 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

Notice of Making of Public Path Order

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (PULLOXHILL: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 16) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order made on 5 June 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill as described below.

The length of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill to be stopped up extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0625 3366 in a south-south-westerly direction for approximately 158 metres to the boundary hedge of The Leys at OS GR TL 0617 3352 then continues in a generally west-south-westerly direction for approximately 49 metres to terminate at its junction with Blackhill Lane at OS GR TL 0613 3350.

The footpath is stopped up across its full width.

The length of Footpath No. 16, Pulloxhill to be created extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0625 3366 in a generally easterly direction for approximately 2 metres to OS GR TL 0625 3366 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 74 metres along a track to a field boundary at OS GR TL 0621 3360 then continues in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 86 metres across a paddock to the boundary of The Leys at OS GR TL 0616 3352 then continues in a generally north-westerly then southwesterly direction for approximately 26 metres to OS GR TL 0614 3352 then continues in a generally southsouth-westerly direction for approximately 28 metres to its junction with Blackhill Lane at OS GR TL 0613 3350. The new route of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Highway Assets Intelligence Team Leader, Central Bedfordshire Council Highways, Priory House, Monks Walk, Chicksands, Shefford, SG17 5QT or definitivemap@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk not later than 16 July 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Representations and objections must include either a postal or e mail address. Any representations or objections made will be in the public domain and will be available for viewing/copying by members of the public.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Central Bedfordshire Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order and will be made publicly available by either the Council or the Planning Inspectorate.
