THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BALDERTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING WAITING LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (N26-195)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Balderton in the District of Newark and Sherwood.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Main Street, Balderton - From its junction with Hollowdyke Lane to its junction with Bullpit Road.

b. Queens Street, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

c. Marshall Courte, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

d. St Giles Way, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a northerly direction.

e. Broughton Gardens, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

f. Wetsyke Lane, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

g. Spring Lane, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a south easterly direction.

h. Wolfit Avenue, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a north westerly direction.

i. Bridge Court, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a north westerly direction

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting loading and unloading (Both Sides, at any times) in the following length of road

a. Main Street, Balderton - From its junction with Hollowdyke Lane to its junction with Bullpit Road.

b. Queens Street, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

c. Marshall Courte, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

d. St Giles Way, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a northerly direction.

e. Broughton Gardens, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

f. Wetsyke Lane, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a southerly direction.

g. Spring Lane, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a south easterly direction.

h. Wolfit Avenue, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a north westerly direction.

i. Bridge Court, Balderton - From its junction with Main Street for 50 metres in a north westerly direction

1. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

2. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place. 

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 20:00, Monday, 22 June 2026
Until 06:00 Saturday, 04 July 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Coddington Road, Barnby Road, Bullpit Road and Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd June 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. 

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
