THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)

(ROAD FROM NORTH HILL LANE TO CRANDONS CROSS, STOCKLAND) ORDER 2026

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 13/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated finish 7/8/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of affected roads.

Roads affected: Road from North Hill Lane to Crandons Cross, Stockland.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via – Road from Crandons Cross to Cuckford Farm – Road from Cuckford Farm to Beckford Cross – Road from Beckford Cross to Dulcis Cross – Road from Dulcis Cross to Millgreen Lane – Road from Millgreen Lane to Coryton Lane – Millgreen Lane – Road heading southwest from Old Coryton Cross – Road from Coryton Lane to Gammons Hill – A35 – Old Taunton Road – Road from Moorcox Cross to Burrow Corner – Road from Ridge Cross to Moorcox Cross – Road from Broadhayes Cross to Ridge Cross – Road from Royal Oak Cross to Broadhayes Cross – Road from Royal Oak Cross to Shortmoor Cross – Road from Shortmoor Cross to Park View – Road from Blackhayes Cross to Stockland Village Cross & vice versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Replacement & upgrading of existing potable water mains.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 15/6/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated finish 28/6/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of affected roads.

Roads affected: Chapelcroft Road & Brinscombe Lane & Road from Dennings Cross to Cranborne Cross, Membury.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via –

Phase 1: Road past Haddon Down – The Half Moon – Road past Whitehouse – Road from Crossways to Birchill Cross – Road from Birchill Cross to Catmoor Cross – Goldsmith Lane – Road from All Saints Church to All Saints Cross – Road from Badgers Rest to All Saints Church – Road from Cranborne Cross to Badgers Rest – Road from Dennings Cross to Cranborne Cross & vice versa.

Phase 2 & 3: Road from Cranborne Cross to Badgers Rest – Road from Badgers Rest to All Saints Church – Road from All Saints Church to All Saints Cross – Goldsmith Lane – Road from Birchill Cross to Catmoor Cross – Road from Crossways to Birchill Cross – Road past Whitehouse – Brinscombe Lane & vice versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: Upgrading & renewing existing potable water mains.
