Griffin Avenue - Highway Stopping Up Order to Enable Approved Development

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.24) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped southern part width of Griffin Avenue at Moreton, in the Metropolitan Borough of the Wirral. This is to enable development as permitted by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, under reference APP/W4325/W/21/3287093.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO2631661). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Wirral Council Highways, Wallasey Town Hall, Brighton Street, Wallasey, CH44 8ED.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 10 June 2026.
