What is happening?

Avenue from its junction with Sewal Highway to its junction with Wyken Croft where prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 22 June 2026 and is required to enable small sluice valve repair and associated works on Wyken Avenue to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 24 June 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site. 
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Wyken Avenue.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CANNOCKS LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Cannocks Lane for its full length.

The Order would come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday, 22 June 2026 and is required to enable BT to install new ducting and associated works on Cannocks Lane to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 24 June 2026.

PROPOSED TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
CITY OF COVENTRY (HUMBER ROAD)
(REVOCATION OF RIGHT TURN BAN INTO WHITLEY DEPOT) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), pursuant to its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”).

The effect of the proposed Order is to revoke the existing right turn prohibition for southbound traffic on Humber Road turning into Whitley Depot.

The details of the changes proposed by this Order are contained in the Statement of Reasons and plan all of which are available on the Council’s website (see link below).

A copy of this Notice, the draft Order, plan and Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’.

Any objection must state the grounds on which it is made and must be forwarded by no later than by no later than 2nd July 2026.
