The City of Newcastle upon Tyne (Waiting Restrictions and On Street Parking Places) Order 2026 (Slatyford Lane Area Variation TROST10) Order 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 5th June 2026 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, and of all other enabling powers, which amends the City of Newcastle upon Tyne (Waiting Restrictions and On Street Parking Places) Order 2026 ("the 2026 Order").
2. The effect of the variation Order which will come into operation on 21st July 2026 is to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) on sections of Slatyford Lane, Coniston Grove and Thirlmere Way.
3. If you wish to view the documents relating to the Order (including the draft Order, Plan, a copy of the 2026 Order, the new map tile and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order), please email a request to streetworks@newcastle.gov.uk Alternatively, please telephone (0191) 2787878 to request a copy of the documents. The documents may also be viewed free of charge at The Arches reception, Newcastle Civic Centre, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH between 9am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
4. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any relevant requirements have not been complied with in relation to the Order you may, within six weeks from 4th June 2026, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
