(Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day of June 2026 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 27th day of May 2026, to introduce a temporary 30mph Speed Limit as specified in the Schedule below. This Order will come into operation on the 10th day of June 2026 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The temporary 30mph speed limit is introduced to enable Alt Group to work safely on site and will commence on the 18th day of June 2026 until the 27th day of November 2026 (24 hours). The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. A copy of the draft Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at www.somerset.gov.uk/TRO. Camp Road, West Coker - From a point 50 metres west of the junction with the A30 West Coker Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 1850 metres

Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
