Temporary Closure of High Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: High Street - from the junction with Bonnies Lane to the junction with Windsor Lane. A total distance of 365 metres.

This Order will enable Openreach to carry out fibre cabling works.

The Order becomes effective on 24th June 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th July 2026 and last until 4th July 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
