C225 , Limpley Stoke - Temporarily To Close All Traffic To Replacement of Street Lighting
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C225 (Part), Limpley Stoke; from outside its property known as No.23 Midford Lane for a distance of approximately 75m in a south easterly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out replacement of street lighting and associated works.
Alternative route via C225 (unaffected length) – A36 – Branch Road – B3110 – C225 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 06 July 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
