(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council propose to make an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the the following stretches of road:
· St James Street closed between its junction with
Ward Street and its junction with Horseley Fields.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Ward Street,
Shakespeare Street and Horseley Fields.
· Horseley Fields Bus Lane closed inbound between
the junction of Shakespeare Street and Middle
Cross.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 23rd June 2026 until 25th June
2026.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of
high voltage electrical ducting by National Grid
(Electricity Distribution).
