What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(SUMMERFIELD ROAD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following
stretches of road:
l Summerfield Road closed at its junction with Bath Road.
Vehicular diversion route: Chapel Ash, Ring Road,
Waterloo Road, Newhampton Road East, Clifford Street,
Albert Road, Tettenhall Road.
l 2 way lights in situ outside property number 47.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken from 09:00 on 22 June 2026 until 16:00 on
26 June 2026.
The Order is required to facilitate disconnection of gas
services by D & G Utilities.
