(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council on 18th December 2025 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) which would have expired on 26th June 2026 has been continued in force under authority of the Deputy Minister for Transport, acting under the authority of the Cabinet Minister for enterprise, Connectivity and Energy, one of the Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers contained in section 15(5) of the Act and shall be operative up to and i ncluding 25th December 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close the following sections of paths:-
Footpath Closure
Footpath 359 Llantrisant – the whole of Footpath 359 Llantrisant from the start at Forest Walk cul-de-sac STST0326782896 to its end at the junction with Footpath 1 Llanharan ST0337083929

Alternative Route – available via the existing highway network
Access for emergency services WILL NOT be maintained
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public to assess the potential damage caused to the footpath and bridge by a fallen tree.
