(Burton Road, Acton Turville) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Burton Road which extends from The Street southwards for 850m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole testing works. The order became operative from 15 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am and 3:30pm. Alternative route: B4039, A420, A46, B4039 and vice versa.

(Sodbury Lane, Westerleigh; Gibbs Lane, Dodington and Claypit Hill, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon surfacing works.

The order became operative from 15 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between 7:45am and 4:30pm. SCHEDULE Sodbury Lane – from Gibbs Lane westwards for 210m; Gibbs Lane – from Sodbury Lane to Claypit Hill; Claypit Hill – from Dodington Lane northwards for 115m. (New Road, Stoke Gifford and Station Road, Filton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with cycle lane, speed table and pedestrian crossing installation works. The order became operative from 15 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 nights duration, between 8pm and 6am. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of Footpath Elizabeth Crescent by 75 to Hatchet Road which extends from Gatcombe Drive south eastwards for 20m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon cabling works. The order became operative from 15 June 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Elizabeth Crescent, Gatcombe Drive and vice versa.

(Victoria Street, Staple Hill) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Victoria Street which extends from Broad Street to Pleasant Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 21 June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 7am and 3pm. Alternative route: A432, A4174, A4175 and vice versa.

(Westerleigh Road, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with Active Travel CRSTS works. The order will be operative from 6 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works.

It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the hours specified in column 2 on the dates specified in column 3 of the said Schedule.

(London Road, Wick) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and equestrians that length of London Road which extends from Bury Lane south eastwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 6 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. Alternative route: London Road.

Construction of Road Humps – Coalpit Heath

Details of the proposed changes

NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called ‘the Act’) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C(1) of the Act and those bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called ‘the Regulations’) and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct road humps at the in the form of flat top tables at the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The road humps specified in Part 1 of the said Schedule will be 5m in length; the road hump in Part 2 will be 3.5m in length; the road hump in Part 3 will be 5m in length; the road hump in Part 4 will be 4.6m in length; the road hump in Part 5 will be 4.3m in length; the road hump in Part 6 will be 2.7m in length, and the road hump in Part 7 will be 4.4m in length. The humps will extend over the full width of the carriageway and will be 75mm measurements are approximate and subject to construction tolerance.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 8 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order will be operative from 9 July 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Notice is hereby given that the above order, made by South Gloucestershire District Council on 4 June 2025, has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 19 December 2026 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the entire length of Public Footpath OAN/13.
