ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4612 SILVER STREET, OLD NEWTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4612 Silver Street, Old Newton from the junction with Ward Green for 100 metres eastbound to facilitate overhead telecommunications cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Silver Street, the B1113, Hundred Lane, U4654 from U4612 to B1113 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 11/06/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING ON PART OF THE U2417 GLADSTONE ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order prohibiting waiting on the:

• U2417 Gladstone Road, Ipswich from no. 40 to no. 58

• U2417 Gladstone Road, Ipswich from no. 70 to no. 80

• U2417 Gladstone Road, Ipswich opposite no. 57.

This is to facilitate the installation and connection of Electrical Vehicle Charging Points. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Standard exemptions are to apply but no exception for blue badge holders.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 11/06/2026 - 24/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8324 The Tye, Kersey from Pheasant Cottage for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Howe Road, Groton, Church Street, Groton, Swan Street Groton, Broad Street, Boxford, Ellis Street, Boxford, Cox Hill, Boxford, Wickersreet Green, Kersey, Uplands, Kersey and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/06/2026 - 12/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C430 GEDDING ROAD, C430 FROM C429 TO C695, ROAD FROM C429 TO C695 AND C430 DRINKSTONE ROAD, DRINKSTONE AND GEDDING

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• C430 Gedding Road, Drinkstone from Rattlesden Road to Park Road.

• C430 from C429 to C695, Drinkstone.

• Road from C429 to C695, Drinkstone.

• C430 Drinkstone Road, Gedding from Road from C429 to C695, Drinkstone to Bury Road, Gedding.

This is to facilitate surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Drinkstone Road Gedding, Bury Road Drinkstone, Road from the C695 to C427 Drafield St George, Manor Road, The Green, The Street, Drinkstone Road Hessett, Beyton Road, The Street, Gedding Road Drinkstone and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/06/2026 - 15/06/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure schedule for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A134 ROUGHAM ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A134 Rougham Road, Bury St Edmunds westbound from the junction with the A14 roundabout to the junction with Vale Road to facilitate installing a new pump main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be westbound on the A14 to junction 43, the A143 Compiegne Way, the A1302 Parkway, the A1302 Cullum Road, the A134 Rougham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/06/2026 - 13/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF BABERGH)

(STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF STRATFORD ST MARY) (LOWER STREET) (C476) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO. 34) ORDER 2026

On the 03/06/2026 Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, to substitute revision 1 of Map Tile HR99 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 order. The effect of this would be to introduce:

No waiting at any time on:

• Lower Street (C476), Stratford St Mary:

• on the east side from the access with Swan Meadows (private) to a point beyond the driveway serving Riverside Chimes.

Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload; for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for blue badge-holders.

A copy of the Order and map showing the road affected, which comes into operation on the 15/06/2026, may be seen with advance notice at the address below and at Capel St Mary Library, Village Hall, The Street, Capel St Mary, IP9 2EF, Tuesday 9am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 5.30pm; Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 12.30pm; Friday 2pm - 5.30pm; Saturday 9am 3pm; and Sunday 10am - 3pm; excluding Public and Bank Holidays.

If anyone wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any of the requirements of that Act or any instrument made under it have not been complied with in relation to the order, they may within six weeks of the date on which the order was made apply to the High Court for this purpose.
