What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – BOURNEMOUTH ROAD, LYNDHURST, NEW FOREST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Bournemouth Road between its junction with Hartwood House and its junction with a point approximately 360 meters towards the junction of Shrubbs Hill Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: High Street, A35 Gosport Lane, A35 Chapel Lane.

A35 Bournemouth Road, A3060 Castle Lane East, A338 Wessex Way, A31 Ringwood Road, A31, A337 Lyndhurst Road–A35 Gosport Lane, A337 Shrubbs Hill Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 24th June 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days, working between 18:30–06:00.)

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out works. If there are any queries or enquiries regarding this Order, please contact: surveys@sunbeltrentals.co.uk

Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
