Wellington Road E7 - Changes To Parking Places And Waiting Restrictions - The Newham (Forest Gate North) (Parking Places) (No. 1, 2016) (Amendment No. 22) Order 2026 - The Newham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 200) Order 2026
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ("the Council") on 8 June 2026 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be: -
(a) to remove the two lengths of shared use parking places (permit holders FGN and "pay by phone") in Wellington Road E7, on its north-west side, opposite Odessa Infant School and Nursery and replace these with a single shared use parking place on the north-west side, located 11.4 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Odessa Road, extending south-westwards for a length of 16.1 metres;
(b) to introduce new waiting and loading restrictions operating at any time in Wellington Road E7, on its north-west side, between a point 27.5 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Odessa Road south-westward, then north-westward to a point opposite the south-eastern boundary wall of No. 45 Wellington Road, E7; and
(c) to extend the waiting restrictions operating at any time on the south-east side of Wellington Road, E7, from the south-western kerb-line of Odessa Road, south-westward and then north-westward to the south-eastern boundary wall of No. 45 Wellington Road, E7.
The proposed waiting and loading restrictions will replace the existing restrictions. The current school keep clear markings outside Odessa Infant School and Nursery will be reinstated from between a point 11.3 metres south-east of the south-eastern boundary wall of No. 45 Wellington Road, E7 and a point 28.8 metres south-west of the north-eastern boundary wall of the Odessa Infant school.
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 12 June 2026 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at: Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
