SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U5951 Upper Town, Wetherden
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5951 Upper Town, Wetherden from The Bungalow to no. 7 to facilitate replacement of an electrical pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Captains Lane, Elmswell Road Wetherden, Wetherden Road Elmswell, Jubilee Terrace, Thedwastre Close, Cooks Road, The Street, Station Road, Ashfield Road, Elmswell Road Great Ashfield, School Road, Daisy Green, Wetherden Road Great Ashfield, Upper Town and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/06/2026 from 9:00am – 4:00pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of The U4620 Park Road, Wetherden
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4620 Park Road, Wetherden to facilitate surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Haughley New Street, Stowmarket Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/06/2026 - 11/06/2026 from 8:00am – 5:00pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4101 The Street, Wherstead from the junction with the A131 Ipswich Road for 300 metres eastbound to facilitate the replacement of overhead electricity cables and poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A137, the B1456, Redgate Lane, Vicarage Lane, The Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/06/2026 from 10:00am – 4:00pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4134 Woodlands Road, Holbrook from Clench Road to the junction with The Street to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, the B1080, Woodlands Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 29/06/2026 - 10/07/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C445 Stowmarket Road, Ringshall from 573 metres north of Carters Lane for 176 metres northbound to facilitate the removal of tree branches from power cables and vegetation clearance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Straight Road, Church Road, Hascot Hill, Battleford Road, Barking Hill, Ladyfield, The Tye, Road from 4438 to B1113 Needham Market Barking, Ringshall Road, Lower Farm Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/06/2026 - 19/06/2026 from 9:30am – 2:45pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Coalpit Lane Higham, Coalpit Lane, Barrow Road, Colethorpe Lane, Denham Lane Barrow, Denham End, Barrow Road, Road from C659 to B1085 Denham, Denham Road Dalham, Dalham Road Ousden, Denham Road, Lidgate Road, The Street, Gazeley Road, C655 from Dalham to Gazeley Dalham, Dalham Road, The Street, Higham Road Gazeley, Gazeley Road, Lower Green Higham and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
- 18/06/2026 - 21/06/2026 from 8:00am – 5:00pm
(surface dressing)
- 14/07/2026 - 16/07/2026 from 8:00pm – 5:00am
(road marking works)
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
