What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC GIBSON LANE SOUTH, MELTON (LEVEL CROSSING)

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Gibson Lane South, Melton Level Crossing (20 metres either side of the level crossing) commencing Sunday 28 June 2026 (between 00.25 hours and 07.55 hours) to enable full road marking overlay and site clean up.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the given time. There is no alternative route for traffic affected by this closure. Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only.
