Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure
in its capacity as Road Authority and acting in pursuance of
its powers under Article 7 of the Road Traffic Regulation
(Northern Ireland) Order 1997 has temporarily prohibited the
use of the above-named road to through traffic, from junction
with John Street to junction with Drumlough School Road.
continuously, commencing on Monday 15th June to Friday
18th September 2026.
Local access and access for emergency vehicles will be
maintained at all times.
This closure is to facilitate work by NI Water Capital.
An alternative route will be signed with traffic being diverted
via:
Diversion 1: B0007 Iveagh Bungalows, A0025 Newry Road,
B0007 Drumlough Road, B0007 Bavan Road, C0335 Cullion
Road, U6069 Old Newry Road
