SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF KIDD LANE, MELBOURNE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
• Phase 1 - Part of Kidd Lane, Melbourne between
properties named Melbourne Grange and Acorn
Glade commencing 6 July 2026 at 08.00 hours until
8 July 2026 at 18.00 hours and
• Phase 2 - Part of Kidd Lane, Melbourne between
properties named Melbourne Grange and Glen
Cottage commencing 20 July 2026 at 08.00 hours
until 22 July 2026 at 18.00 hours for the purposes
of excavation to install telecoms cable works.
The road closures are necessary to enable the works
to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within three days. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the road closures will be via
Kidd Lane, Main Street, Campey Lane and Ash Lane,
Melbourne CP, Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all through traffic but access will
be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
