SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF NEWBRIDGE LANE, WILBERFOSS
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Newbridge Lane, Wilberfoss from its junction with
Sand Lane heading west to A1079 Hull Road, Wilberfoss
then east on to Bolton Lane commencing
8 July 2026 at 08.00 hours until 14 July 2026 at
17.00 hours to allow for the installation of ducting and
chambers for the new BDUK fibre network for part of
Newbridge Lane, Wilberfoss.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within six days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Sand Lane, A1079 Hull Road and
Bolton Lane, Wilberfoss CP, Fangfoss CP, Pocklington
Provincial Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through
traffic but access will be maintained for residents,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
