ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS – SAIL STREET
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, to enable bridge repair works, the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth has made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the south-east to north-west arm of Sail Street, immediately underneath the railway bridge;
(b) introduce a one-way traffic system in that length of the north-east to south-west arm of Sail Street between its junction with Lambeth Street and a point 45 metres southwest of that junction, from north-east to south-west;
(c) suspend the one-way traffic system in the south-east to north-west arm of Sail Street between its junction with Lambeth Road and the railway bridge.
2. An alternative route for affected vehicles will be available via Sail Street, Juxon Street, Lambeth Walk and Lambeth Road.
3. The Order will come into force on 15 June 2026 and will continue in force for a maximum duration of 6 months, to allow for contingencies, or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
