DOVER AREA

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order.

The effect of the order would be to change the current speed limit to a 20MPH speed limit on the following length of roads in Ash, Dover:-

BECKET CLOSE, CARTWRIGHT CLOSE, CHILTON FIELD, CHILTON GARDENS, CHILTON PLACE, CHILTON SQUARE, GLEBELANDS, HOLNESS ROAD, JAMES CLOSE, MILL FIELD, MOLLAND CLOSE, MOLLAND LANE, MOLLAND LEA, ORCHARD VIEW, SCHOOL ROAD, SHIP YARD ROAD, THE STREET, WOODS LEY – For their entire length. CHEQUER LANE – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 540 metres in a northerly direction. GUILTON - From its junction with The Street for a distance of 239 metres in a south westerly direction. MOAT LANE – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 165 metres in a south easterly direction. NEW STREET – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 769 metres in a south easterly direction. PUDDING LANE - From its junction with The Street for a distance of 80 metres in a southerly direction. QUEENS ROAD - From its junction with The Street for a distance of 500 metres in a northerly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place double yellow lines (DYL) no waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in New Romney, Folkestone and Hythe:-

LYDD ROAD – DYL - (1) On the south-west side from its junction with Speakers Close for a distance of 45 metres in a north-westerly direction. (2) On the south-west side from its junctions with Speakers Close for a distance of 49 metres in a south-easterly direction. (3) On the north-east side from its junction with Sussex Road to its junction with Longshore Grove excluding the disabled persons parking bay. (4) On the north-east side from its junction with Longshore Grove for a distance of 14 metres in a north-westerly direction. (5) On the north east side from its junction with Sussex Road for a distance of 11 metres in a southerly direction. (6) Remove the DPPB from outside 1 Spitalfield Terrace. SPEAKERS CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Lydd Road for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction. SUSSEX ROAD – On the south side place the DPPB from a point 10 metres east of the junction with Lydd Road for a distance of 6.6 metres in a easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce a no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Northfleet, Gravesend, Gravesham:-

BOUCHER DRIVE – On the west side from its junction with White Avenue place DYLs and a loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction. GRIEVES ROAD – On both sides of the junction with White Avenue place loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. WHITE AVENUE - (1) On the north west side place DYLs and loading restrictions Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm from the junction with Boucher Driver to meet up with the existing school keep clear markings. (2) On both sides of the junction with Grieves Road place loading restrictions Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm for distance of 7 metres. (3) Place a loading restriction Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4pm around the whole of the island opposite 22 White Avenue.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make the above-named Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of the order would be to reduce the current 40mph speed limit to a 30mph speed limit, to be denoted by street lighting and not signage, on the following roads in Minster on Sea, Swale:-

BARTON HILL DRIVE – From its roundabout with Lower Road for a distance of 720 metres in a northerly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.30) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce double yellow lines (DYL) and replace existing single yellow lines (SYL) on the following lengths of roads in Sittingbourne, Swale:-

CROWN QUAY LANE – (1) On both sides from its junction with Eurolink Way to its junction with St Michaels Road replace the existing SYLs with DYLs. (2) On the east side from its junction with Eurolink Way to its junction with West Lane. (3) On the west side from its junction with Eurolink Way join up with the existing DYLs in a northerly direction. EUROLINK WAY – (1) On the north side from its junction with Crown Quay Lane to the eastern entrance boundary with APM Metals. (2) On the north side from the western entrance boundary with APM Metals join up the DYLs with the Bus Stop Clearway. (3) On the south side from its junction with Crown Quay Lane for a distance of 74 metres in a westerly direction and to join up with the existing DYLs. (4) On both sides from its junction with Crown Quay Lane for a distance of 59 metres in an easterly direction.

NOTICE is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), intends to place a new pedestrian crossing as described in column 1 of Schedule 1 hereto, at the location as described in column 2 of the said Schedule.
