What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 602054 IN THE PARISH OF ASKAM & IRELETH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to surfacing works (the works), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along footpath 602054 between grid references 32221 3,477701 and 322297, 477689.

A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will be available via Ireleth Road and Saves Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 20 June 2026 as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, the order may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
