What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (GREYSTONE ROAD, CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a southerly direction along that section of Greystone Road, Carlisle from its junction with the A69 Warwick Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 40m.
A suitable alternative route for north bound vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of Greystone Road, Brunton Avenue and A69 Warwick Road.

The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 month, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
