(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC,

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN, TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SYSTEMS, TEMPORARY CONTRAFLOW,

TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION, TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION,

TEMPORARY NO WAITING, LOADING OR UNLOADING AT ANY TIME, TEMPORARY PARKING PLACES FOR

BLUE BADGE HOLDERS ONLY & TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTED TO 30 MINUTES WITH NO RETURN WITHIN 4 HOURS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict/permit traffic along those lengths of the various roads in Abthorpe, Foscote, Northampton, Paulerspury, Silverstone, Whittlebury and Wood Burcote as specified in the Schedule below.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 2nd July 2026 and will continue in force for a period of five days. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
