TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C637 RICKINGHALL ROAD, HINDERCLAY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C637 Rickinghall Road, Hinderclay from Wood View property for 30 metres southbound to facilitate remedial works to fire hydrant cover and frame. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rickinghall Road, Bury Road, the A134, Hinderclay Road, Wattisfield Road, Rickinghall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/06/2026 - 19/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY ON PART OF THE B1075 FALCON STREET AND U1023 SILENT STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1075 Falcon Street, Ipswich from Silent Street for 30 metres westbound to facilitate remedial works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be:

Westbound Diversion: Franciscan Way, Greyfriars Road, Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, Tacket Street and no vice versa.

Southbound Diversion: St Peters Street, Star Lane, Waterworks, Eagle Street, Orwell Place, Tacket Street and no vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U1023 Silent Street, Ipswich to allow access and egress.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 08/06/2026 - 10/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the following roads:

• B1106 Bury Bottom, Brandon from Fire Road 10 for 2400 metres northbound

• B1107 Thetford Road, Santon Downham from 200 metres south of Fire Road 16 to the junction with Green Road, Brandon

• B1107 Thetford Road, Santon Downham from the B1107 to Fire Road 18.

This is to facilitate safety during Thetford Forest Concert Nights. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 17/06/2026 - 21/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

  • from the junction with Southend Road for 20 metres northbound
  • U1120 Tower Mill Road, Bungay from Southend Road to property no. 2

3. U1120 Southend Road, Bungay from the junction with Laburnum Road to the junction with the A144

4. U120 Bardolph Road, Bungay from 24 metres north east of Flixton Road to the junction with Honeypot Meadow.

This is to facilitate gas mains replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Gipping Road, Station Road, Ipswich Road, the B1113 Bramford Road, Gipping Road and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the:

  • C496 Ipswich Road, Claydon from the roundabout with Bramford Road to Greyhound Corner
  • C496 Station Road, Great Blakenham from Chapel Lane to Greyhound Corner, Claydon.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 08/06/2026 from 10am - 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
