HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 118
(BARWICK-IN-ELMET AND SCHOLES NO. 47) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2022
On 8 June 2026 Leeds City Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to extinguish the public right of way running from a point, SE 3767 3665, at the junction of Main Street and Station Road Scholes alongside 1 Station Road and proceeding for a distance of 102 metres in a west north westerly, then a south south westerly direction to a point, SE 3759 3663 on Wood Lane as shown on the Order Map.

8.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday and also at Scholes Library, Station Road, Scholes, Leeds, LS15 4BJ during normal opening hours. The Order comes into force on 15 June 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks of 9 June 2026, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
