TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

BABELL

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Pant Crossroads to Llyn Du Crossroads Babell, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate a critical upgrade of overhead power lines with associated works by Morrison Energy Services (Transmission Networks).

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 8 June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is anticipated that the road will be closed for 5 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate a critical upgrade of overhead power lines with associated works by Morrison Energy Services (Transmission Networks).

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 8 June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is anticipated that the road will be closed for 6 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Glynne Street, between its junctions with Dundas Street and Chester Road East Queensferry, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate gas mains replacement with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 8 June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is anticipated that the road will be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

PENYMYNYDD/PENYFFORDD

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 5 June 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on the following roads in Pen-yffordd/Penyffordd in the county of Flintshire:

  1. Chester Road Service Road, between its junctions with Hazel Drive. This road will be closed between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm;

  2. Terrace lane, between its junctions with Chester Road and Lower Mountain Road;

  3. Lower Mountain Road, between its junctions with Terrace Lane and Kinnerton Road.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate Water main renewal scheme with associated works by Hafren Dyfrdwy Severn Trent Water.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 22 June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closures are expected to last for approximately 33 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 38 IN THE COMMUNITY OF BUCKLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2022

The above Order came into force from the 9 December 2022 for a period of 6 months, until and including 9 June 2023, the order has since been extended with the approval of the Welsh Government until and including 8 June 2026.

Notice is now hereby given that the said Order made by Flintshire County Council on the 6 December 2022 is extended with the approval of the Welsh Government and will continue in force until and including 7 December 2026, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The effect of the Order is that no person shall proceed in using that section of Public Footpath No.38 in the Community of Buckley from a point at NGR 329568 363512 for an approximate distance of 45 metres across the Wrexham to Bidston Railway Line to a point at NGR 328581 363474.

The reason for the continued closure is due to the likelihood of increased danger to members of the public using this route due to additional timetable services. The closure is on the grounds of safety whilst measures to permanently address the risks are progressed with associated works by Network Rail.

The alternative route available is an already existing level crossing approximately 100 metres south of the footpath closure.
