(GLADSTONE PLACE, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (Gladstone Place, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 8 June 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 7 August 2026. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Gladstone Place, Peebles from junction with St Andrews Road to Buchan Gardens.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Gladstone Place, St Andrews Road, Rosetta Road, Wemyss Road, Buchan Gardens and Gladstone Place to the point of closure, southbound traffic is via Gladstone Place, Buchan Gardens, Wemyss Place, Rosetta Road, March Street, Montgomery Place, Cross Road, St Andrews Road and Gladstone Place to the point of closure.
