THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(ROAD FROM WHEEL CROSS TO BERRY DOWN CROSS, ROAD FROM BERRY DOWN CROSS TO HENSTRIDGE HOUSE & ROAD FROM BERRYDOWN CROSS TO COIL CROSS, COMBE MARTIN & BERRY DOWN) ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 6/7/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 11/7/26. Between the hours of 21:00 & 06:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Road From Wheel Cross To Berry Down Cross, Road From Berry Down Cross To Henstridge House & Road From Berrydown Cross To Coil Cross, Combe Martin & Berry Down, (From The Junction With Road From Smythen Cross To Berry Down Cross To Approximately 1150m Northwards & Junction With Wheel Lane On Long Lane).

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Road From Smythen Cross To Berry Down Cross - Road From Lynton Cross To Smythen Cross - Road From Mullacott Cross To Lynton Cross - Road From St Brannocks Road To Mullacott Cross Roundabout - St Brannocks Road - Church Street - High Street -Portland Street - Hillsborough Road - Watermouth Road - Road From Watermouth Road To The Old Saw Mill - Road From The Old Sawmill To Newberry Hill - Newberry Hill - Woodlands - Seaside - Borough Road - King Street - High Street - Church Street - Rectory Road - Road From Rectory Road To Kiln Lane - Road From Wheel Cross To Kiln Lane - Vice Versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: INSTALL NEW DUCTING, CLEAR 2 BLOCKAGES & UNDERGROUND/OVERHEAD CABLING.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 15/6/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 21/8/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: B3233, BICKINGTON, FROM JUNCTION OF A3125 TO JUNCTION FOR FREMINGTON QUAY HERITAGE CENTRE.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A39 ATLANTIC HIGHWAY, A3125. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 10 miles per hour on the sections of the Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place.

Roads affected: B3233, BICKINGTON, FROM JUNCTION OF A3125 TO JUNCTION FOR FREMINGTON QUAY HERITAGE CENTRE (FOR RESIDENT ACCESS ONLY).

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAS REPLACEMENT WORKS - REPLACEMENT OF OLD METALLIC GAS MAINS WITH NEW PLASTIC MAINS & RENEW/TRANSFER SERVICE PIPES TO ADJACENT PREMISES.
