Priory Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Comms Pipe Relay Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Priory Road from its junction with St Denys Road to its junction with St Augustine Gardens.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for a comms pipe relay.
3. The alternative route will be Priory Road, South Road, Adelaide Road, North Road and Stanley Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 22nd June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 26th June 2026.
