What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U66600- Flapgates- Colwall, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U66600- Flapgates- Colwall, o/s both Park Cottage and Glebe House. Grid Ref: 373928/242143. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Mill Lane onto the B4218 onto then C1179 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to medium pressure mains works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 29th of June 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 19 days.
