Portsmouth City Council (Kingston Crescent) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.107) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th June 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
GAMBLE ROAD
From its junction with Kingston Crescent for 10 metres.
KINGSTON CRESENT (WESTBOUND)
From its junction with London Road to Kingston Crescent Access Road At Granada Travel Lodge Leading To Mile End Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th June 2026 to 26th June 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place overnight between 22:00 - 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Kingston Road, Fratton Road, Lake Road, Lake Road Roundabout, Church Street, Clydebank Road, Gamble Road and Gamble Road, Clydebank Road, Kingston Road, London Road, York Terrace, Northern Parade, Twyford Avenue, Stamshaw Road, Rudmore Roundabout, Kingston Crescent.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
