2. (FREELAND AND HANBOROUGH PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order – for road safety reasons – is to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the A4095 Main Road, replacing the existing 50mph speed limit between Bladon & Long Hanborough in the process.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Bladon Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2023, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Freeland and Hanborough Parishes) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 03 July 2026. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.

(OXFORD CITY – VARIOUS ROADS) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order – for road safety & traffic management reasons – is largely to introduce new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ (Double Yellow Lines) parking restrictions (unless stated otherwise) throughout Oxford as follows:

1. Ashhurst Way:

a. South side –
  i) from a point 20 metres northeast of its junction with Desborough Crescent, south-westwards for approx. 45 metres,
  ii) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Jersey Road

b. North side – from its junction with Dashwood Road, eastwards for approx. 10 metres.

c. Both sides –
  i) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Fiinnes Road North & South,
  ii) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junctions with Asquith Road & Spencer Crescent.

2. Asquith Road

Both sides – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

3. Atkinson Close

Both sides – from its junction with Fettiplace Road, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

4. Balfour Road

Both sides – from its junction with Cuddesdon Way, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

5. Barton Fields Road

(Both sides) – from its junction with Barton Village Road, westwards for approx. 10 metres.

6. Barton Village Road

(Both sides) –
  i) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Barton Fields Road/Fettiplace Road,
  ii) for approx. 35 metres around the bend at its junction with Northway, adjacent to Nos. 7a/b & No. 40.

7. Cranley Road

Both sides – from its junction with Waynflete Road, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

8. Cranmer Road:

a. Both sides – extend the existing restriction southeast of its junction with Hollow Way, south-eastwards by an additional 10 metres.

b. South side – extend the existing restriction northwest of its junction with Fairfax Avenue, north-westwards by an additional 12 metres.

9. Cuddesdon Way:

a. North side – from a point 10 metres southwest of its junction with Balfour Road, north-eastwards for approx. 80 metres.

b. South side –
  i) for approx. 26 metres adjacent to Nos. 21-4b,
  ii) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Pegasus Road.

10. Dashwood Road:

a. East side – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

b. South side – for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Fiinnes Road North.

11. Desborough Crescent

Both sides – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

12. Fiinnes Road North:

a. Both sides – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

b. East side – from its junction with Dashwood Road, southwards for approx. 40 metres.

c. West side – from its junction with Dashwood Road, southwards for approx. 12 metres.

13. Fiinnes Road South

Both sides – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

14. Fettiplace Road:

a. North side –
  i) for approx. 25 metres adjacent to Nos. 25-31, from a point 10 metres west of its junction with Hubble Close, eastwards for approx. 50 metres.

b. South side –
  i) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Atkinson Close,
  ii) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Shaftesbury Road.

c. Both sides – from its junction with Barton Village Road, eastwards for approx. 10 metres.

15. Hollow Way:

a. East side –
  i) from a point 10 metres south of its junction with the access to St Francis Court, northwards to a point 9 metres north of this junction,
  ii) for approx. 14 metres adjacent to Nos. 138-142, replacing the existing informal ‘White Access Protection’ marking.

16. Hubble Close

Both sides – from its junction with Fettiplace Road, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

17. Jersey Road

Both sides – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

18. Knights Road

Both sides – extend the existing restriction southwest of its junction with Blackbird Leys Road, south-westwards by an additional 40 metres, as well as for approx. 20 metres into the access at the rear of the shops.

19. Leckford Road

South side – for approx. 6 metres within the existing time limited (2hrs Mon-Sat, 8am-6.30pm) parking bay adjacent to No. 21, replacing the existing informal ‘white Access Protection’ marking.

20. Malford Road

Both sides – from its junction with Waynflete Road, northwards for approx. 10 metres.

21. Oxford Road (Old Marston):

a. West side – extend the existing restriction adjacent to the Library, southwards for approx. 25 metres.

b. East side – extend the existing restriction south of the junction with Boults Lane, southwards to a point adjacent with No. 75.

22. Pegasus Road

Both sides – from its junction with Cuddesdon Way, southwards for approx. 10 metres.

23. Sandford Road/Oxford Road (Littlemore):

a. North & West side –
  i) for approx. 35 metres adjacent to Nos. 2-8, between the existing lengths of double yellow lines,
  ii) extend the existing restriction adjacent to No. 1, northwards to its junction with Dudgeon Drive.

b. South & East side – new ‘No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm’ (Single Yellow Lines) restrictions to be introduced
  i) for approx. 35 metres adjacent to the ‘Emmanuel Christian School’, between the existing lengths of double yellow lines,
  ii) for approx. 30 metres adjacent to Nos. 1-16 Blewitt Court, between the existing lengths of double yellow lines.

24. Shaftesbury Road

(Both sides) – from its junction with Fettiplace Road, southwards for approx. 12 metres.

25. Spencer Crescent

(Both sides) – from its junction with Ashhurst Way, northwards for approx. 12 metres.

26. Waynflete Road:

a. North side –
  i) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Cranley Road,
  ii) for approx. 10 metres either side of its junction with Malford Road.

b. South side – for approx. 110 metres opposite Nos. 112-122, to supplement the existing ‘School Keep Clear’ marking.

27. Williamson Way

(North side) – from a point 12 metres west of its junction with the north/south carriageway, eastwards for approx. 50 metres.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford City – Various Roads) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2026 will be further amended, updating Map Tiles: E068, EP72, EP73, EQ72, EQ73, ER64, ER74, EX73, EY73, EZ72, EZ73, FA72, FE69, FE70, FF69, FF70, FF74, FG70, FG72, FG73 & FH72

in the process.
