TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.22) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a length of Charles Street and its network of unnamed highways excluding a length of unnamed highway which leads to George Street at Blackpool. This is to enable development as permitted by Blackpool Council under reference 23/0830.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO6666642). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Blackpool Council, Number 1 Bickerstaff Square, Talbot Road, Blackpool, Blackpool, FY1 3AH.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 5 June 2026. N Crass, Casework Manager
