Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Church Road (Part), Stanton St Bernard; from a point approximately 35m south east of its junction with Coate Road for a distance of approximately 64m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out repair mains leak. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 29 June 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. This Order will come into operation on 11 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 26 June 2026. This Order which previously came into operation on 23 February 2026 will now recommence on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 until 04 July 2026. Orders A) to T) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order U) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway recycling, surface dressing and associated works and will be operative from the 08 June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated for varied duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessary to the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 08 June 2026 and 08 August 2026.

Notice is hereby given that on 27 May 2026 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows:
Order 1
To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Lydiard Tregoze and Lydiard Millicent) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2006, re-enact it in the above Order 1 and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on C414, Lydiard Millicent – from a point 20 metres north of its junction with C28 The Street and UC 078601 Greenhill Lane to a point 70 metres north of that junction.
Order 2
To introduce a 40mph speed limit on C415 Broad Town Road, Broad Town – from a point 182 metres north of its junction with Tyning Farm Road (Cokmarsh) to a point 83 metres northwest of its junction with Broadacres.
Order 3
To introduce a 50mph speed limit on C415 Broad Town Road/Marlborough Road – from a point 24 metres southeast of its junction to Lanes Farm, Royal Wootton Bassett to a point 182 metres north of its junction with Tyning Farm Road (Cokmarsh), Broad Town.
Order 4
To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Broad Hinton) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2014, to re-enact it in the above Order 4 and to introduce a 50mph speed limit on A4361, Broad Hinton – from a point 132 metres north east of its junction with C121 (road leading to Uffcott) in a north easterly direction to the Wiltshire county boundary with Swindon.
A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours.
Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Orders will come into operation on 8 June 2026.
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116 APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an application to the Magistrates' Court sitting at Wilton Road, Salisbury on Tuesday 21 July 2026 from 2pm for an Order stopping up a section of highway on the ground that it is unnecessary for public use.
The application relates to highway adjacent to Cherry Tree House, Rushall Road, North Newnton.
A plan showing the effect of the application will be posted on site. Copies may be obtained from – and any queries directed to – Mr. Gale of Legal Services on tel. (01225) 718023.
Alternatively, the plan may be inspected free of charge by prior arrangement with Mr. Gale at County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours.
