1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames hereby gives notice that on 03 June 2026 they made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order is to facilitate the holding of a music event on Barnes Green, Barnes.

3. On Saturday 06 June 2026 from 2pm until 12 pm. The PROW5 footpath on Barnes Green will be closed from where it meets the pond / The Crescent southwards for a distance of 92 metres.

4. Nothing in this Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes

5. The prohibitions or restrictions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General directions 2016.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

(VARIOUS STREET PARTIES) (No. 1) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 03 June 2026 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets to allow residents to celebrate a special event within their communities.

3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

4. Copies of the Order:

(a) can be inspected until 31 December 2026, quoting Reference 26/087 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Alexandra Road, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Alexandra Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Alexandra Road, Twickenham outside numbers 14 to 32.

3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Alexandra Road, Richmond Road, Cresswell Road, Denton Road, Morley Road and Alexandra Road, Morley Road, Richmond Road, Mill Lane.

4. The order will come into effect 11 June 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress on 11 June 2026 only, the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Temporary Road Closure

George Street, Richmond

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer cleansing works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in George Street, Richmond.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in George Street, Richmond from the junction with King Street to outside number 54 George Street. 

3. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via St Margarets Road, Hill Street, King Street, The Green, Pembroke Villas, Portland Terrace, Little Green, Parkshot, Twickenham Road The Avenue.

4. The order will come into effect 19 June 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 22.00 on 19 June to 05.30 on 20 June 2026, the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Temporary Waiting Restrictions,

Gould Road & Crane Road, Twickenham.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate development works and deliveries they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Gould Road and Crane Road, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place:

• The disabled persons’ bay outside number 4 Gould Road will be suspended and a temporary disabled persons’ bay will be provided outside number 6;

• No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand at any time in the following lengths of road: • • Outside number 54 Crane Road

• The bay adjacent to the side of 53 Crane Road in Gould Road.

3. The order will come into effect on 04 June 2026. The restrictions will be in force at all times from 04 June 2026 until 31 March 2027. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

5. Nothing in the notice applies to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
