Blacburn – Extension of Temporary Bridleway Closure Due To Public Right of Way Works
What is happening?

EXTENSION TO: THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN BRIDLEWAY 165 BLACKBURN TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred by section 15 (5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has approved of the continuing in force of the Order made and effective on 4th December 2025. As the works have not been completed the Secretary of State for Transport granted an extension of the Order until 4th June 2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any persons from using the Bridleway referred to in the Schedule below due to works being carried out on the line of the right of way. The alternative routes available (if any) are referred to in the schedule below.
The paths will be closed in the interest of public safety.
