Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

TR023027-2 – Mill Lane, Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road of Neston to enable Traffic Signals installation works to be carried out by Colas Ltd (CWAC).

Mill Lane – road fully closed at its junction with A540 Chester High Road (in conjunction with the closure on Damhead Lane

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 08/06/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Mill Lane, Burton Road, Bull Hill, Mellock Lane, B5134 Hinderton Road, A540 Chester High Road, and vice versa.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR023027-1 – Damhead Lane in Neston

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Neston to enable Traffic Signals installation works to be carried out by Colas Ltd (CWAC).

Damhead Lane – fully closed at its junction with A540 Chester High Road (in conjunction with the closure on Mill Lane).

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable Signals Improvement works, to be carried out by Colas Ltd (CWAC).

Mill Lane: Closed with no access west bound between Edgerton Road and the A5116 8th June -24th July. Access to Upton Drive is from Bache Avenue. East bound traffic from the A5116 will be unaffected.

TR08730 – Fox Covert Lane in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Manweb.

Fox Covert Lane – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 15/06/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 5 weeks to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Acres Lane, Caughall Road, Wervin Road.

TR08731 – Chester Lane in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water.

Chester Lane – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 22/06/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

Park Drive – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 15/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 7 days to complete.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Hoole Road, Pipers Lane, Willow Grove, Cedar Grove, Bellard Drive.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR08734 – Eaton Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable utility works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water.

Eaton Road – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 27/07/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
