CONTROLLED PARKING SCHEME, EDINBURGH VARIATION

OF TRADES’ PERMIT PARKING CHARGES 

NOTICE (NO. 2) 2026

The City of Edinburgh Council in exercise of their powers under Section 46a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, by Act of Council of 20 February 2025 have varied the parking charges set out in Schedule 6, and applying to permit parking places & pay and display parking places in the roads within the areas listed below, as depicted on the relevant map and payable in terms of, Part 5 of the City of Edinburgh Council (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading, Stopping and Parking Places) Designation and Traffic Regulation Order 2025. The effect of the variation will be to amend the charges set out in Schedule 6 in the permit parking places depicted on the relevant map, as follows -

In the Parking Places provided in the Roads listed below

i.  the trades’ permit charge will increase from £154.90/ month to £162.00/month or £1,611.40/year to £1,685.50/ year. The refund rate will remain at £107.00/whole month remaining on the permit.

The amended Parking charges will come into effect on 29 June 2026.
