ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(ROBINSON ROAD, COLLIERS WOOD)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate an electrical mains installation in Robinson Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Robinson Road, from its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood, eastward for a distance of 18 metres;

(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above;

(c) enter or proceed in the southern footway of the length of Robinson Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed by one or more of the following roads: High Street, Colliers Wood, Marlborough Road and Park Road.

6. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into operation on Monday 15th June 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by Friday 19th June 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

WEST BARNES LANE, NEW MALDEN

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate water works in West Barnes Lane, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between its junction with Linkway and its junction with Burlington Road;

(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in

(i) the road specified in paragraph 2(a) above; and

(ii) Burlington Road, both sides, from a point 60 metres south-west of the southern kerb-line of West Barnes Lane north-east for a distance of 120 metres.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Burlington Road, Malden Way, Malden Road, Motspur Park, West Barnes Lane, or vice versa.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on Saturday 13th June 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by Sunday 14th June 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

PROPOSED PARKING PLACES FOR THE LAMP POST CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES

THE MERTON (PARKING PLACES) (ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING POINTS) (NO.*) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the ‘Electric Vehicle Charging Points’ Order would be to: -

(a) designate parking places for electric vehicle charging at the locations listed in the Schedule to this notice;

(b) provide that the parking places would operate at all times, unless otherwise stated;

(c) specify that the parking places listed in the Schedule to this notice would be available for fully electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles only, for up to 12 hours, without charge, provided that any electric vehicle is connected via a charging lead to a lamp column upgraded to enable electric charging at all times while it is left in a parking place. Electric vehicles having left a parking place for electric vehicle charging would be able to return after 4 hours have elapsed;

(d) revoke the electric vehicle charging point parking place in Leamington Avenue, the north-west side, near its junction with Monkleigh Road.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans which indicate the lengths of road to which the Order relates can be inspected Monday to Friday during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. 4. Any person desiring to comment on the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds thereof, to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department at the Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX, or alternatively by email to trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/EV/2026/batch26, no later than 26 June 2026.

BEECH GROVE, MITCHAM; the southeast side, from a point 14 metres northeast of the southwesternmost property boundary of No. 501 Commonside East, northeastward for a distance of 6 metres (2 wheels on the footway).

BERKSHIRE WAY, MITCHAM; the southwest side, from a point 5.5 metres southeast of the common boundary of Nos. 5 and 7 Berkshire Way, southeastward for a distance of 5 metres. (2 wheels on the footway).

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Botsford Road, SW20, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Botsford Road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in Botsford Road, on the west side, for its entire length, including the footway.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

6. The Order will come into operation on Monday 15 June 2026 and will remain in force for 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The works are anticipated to be completed on 3 July 2026.
