What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2108 HIGH IREBY, U2096 BRIDEKIRK AND U2125 ULDALE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
- U2108 High Ireby, from its junction with the C201 Ruthwaite, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 880m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2108, U2109, U2107 Ireby and C2011.
Duration: From 23 June 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/1854)
- U2096 Bridekirk, from its junction with the C2038, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 580m.
Alternative Route: via the A595 and C2038
Duration: From 23 June 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/18506)
- U2125 Uldale, from a point approx. 280m southeast of its junction with the C2004, extending in an overall south easterly direction for approx. 360m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2125, U2123, and C2004.
Duration: From 29 June 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROC/18571)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
