THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(NORKEED ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to facilitate essential carriage re-surfacing works. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Norkeed Road between its junction with Norbreck Road and its junction with A585 Promenade.
(b) Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right from Wilvere Drive onto Norkeed Road.
(c) Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right from Glenmere Crescent onto Norkeed Road.
(d) Prohibit any vehicle from turning left or right from Alpic Drive onto Norkeed Road.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained whenever possible. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 29 June 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 11 days.
