What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

WILLIAM STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along William Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Resurfacing works to be carried out on William Street as part of the A63 Castle Street improvement scheme.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 22nd June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7am to 3pm on 22nd June 2026.

ARMED FORCES DAY 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

Area 1 – Paragon Street, from Chariot Street to Queen Victoria Square.

Area 2 – King Edward Street, from Jameson Street to Queen Victoria Square.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 27th June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 7am to 6.30pm on 27th June 2026.

PARAGON STREET

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council
by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has
made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle
from proceeding along Paragon Street, Outside Hull City Hall, Kingston
upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during Roofing works on the Town Hall.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will come into effect 28th June 2026 and may continue in
force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between
7am to 5pm on 28th June 2026.

ELLA STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:
Ella Street between Newland Avenue and 135 Ella Street, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Ella Street Festival. 

The alternative route for vehicles to be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will take effect on from 27th June 2026 to 27th June 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the festival which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the festival will be completed in a period of approximately from 09:00 to 23:00 on 27th June 2026.
