CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL GREEN LANE, THORNTON, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of water works proposed to be executed on or near Green Lane, Thornton, Bradford intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Green Lane from its junction with Thornton Road to a point outside No. 40 Green Lane.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Green Lane (unaffected section), Headley Lane, Maltkiln Lane, Squirrel Lane, Cragg Lane, Brighouse and Denholme Lane, Thornton Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 09:30 hours on the 15th of June 2026 and remain in force until 15:30 hours on the 15th of June 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
