C312 BARDON MILL TO BRADLEYGATE BARDON MILL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C312 Bardon Mill to Bradleygate from its point 55 metres south-west of its point with Birkshaw Farmhouse in a south-westerly direction for a length of 75 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 23rd June 2026 until the 3rd July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 23rd June 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 3rd July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TRO is in force being C312, A69, C310, C309, C307, U7055, and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U8290 GLOVERS PLACE HEXHAM, HEXHAM AND COCKSHAW
U8290 TANNERS ROW HEXHAM (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Hexham in the County of Northumberland:

Road Closures:
U8290 Glovers Place Hexham from its junction with U8290 Cockshaw heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 45 metres.

U8290 Cockshaw from its junction with U8290 Tanners Row heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 25 metres.

One Way System:
This Order will further introduce a temporary one-way on that section of the U8290 Tanners Row from its junction with U8290 Alexander Place heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 95 metres and will only allow southbound traffic in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 22nd June 2026 until the 18th December 2026.

It is expected that the road closures and temporary one-way system will only be in place from the 22nd June 2026 until the 26th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th December 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TRO is in force being via U8290 Cockshaw, Kingsgate, Eilansgate, Alexander Place, Tanners Row, Giles Place and Glovers Place and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U7059 WESTWOOD COTTAGES TO BARDON MILL, BARDON MILL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U7059 Westwood Cottages to Bardon Mill from its junction with U7058 Bankhead Junction To Crindledykes Junction heading in a north westerly direction for a distance of 140 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th June 2026 until the 7th July 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 30th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U7059, C312, A69, C311, U7058 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U8294 BONDGATE COURT HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8294 Bondgate Court from its junction with U8294 Wanless Lane heading in a south-westerly direction for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 11th June 2026 until the 15th June 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 11th June 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 15th June 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

U9083 DARRAS HALL SHOPS SERVICE ROAD, PONTELAND TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:

Temporary Road Closure:
The use of vehicular traffic is temporarily prohibited on a length of highway namely the U9083 Darras Hall Shops Service Road in Ponteland from its point adjacent to the rear of no.1 Broadway in a northerly direction for a length of 125 metres (“the Road”) in the county of Northumberland.

There is no alternative route for traffic for the duration of the Order.

This closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water in order to repair a blocked sewer.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has on the 27 May 2026 made the Northumberland County Council Tynedale Harriers 10k 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Tynedale Harriers 10k 2026 (“the Event”) by prohibiting traffic on:

  • the C254 Ovington Main Road through Village from its junction of St Andrews Lane heading in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 50 metres,
  • the C254 Ovington to Ovingham from its junction with the C254 Ovington Main Road through Village heading in a south eastwards direction for its entire length,
  • the C254 West Road, Ovingham from its junction with the C254 Ovington to Ovingham heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length and the C254 West Road to Hillcrest, Ovingham from its junction with C254 West Road heading in a eastwards direction for its entire length (“Road One”),
  • the C254 Main Road Ovingham from its junction with the C255 Horsley Road heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length,
  • the C254 Ovingham to Wylam from its junction with the U8269 Castle View to Piper Road link heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length,
  • the C254 Ovingham Road from its junction with the C254 Ovingham to Wylam heading in a north eastwards direction for its entire length and the C254 Main Road, Wylam from its junction with Cherry Tree Lane heading in a south eastwards direction for its entire length (“Road Two”)

(“Road One and Road Two shall together be known as the Road”).

The TTRO shall come into force at the following times and subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act:

  • 19:15 hours on 01 July 2026 and will remain in force until 19:40 hours on 01 July 2026; and
  • 19:30 hours on 01 July 2026 and will remain in force until 20:15 hours on 01 July 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the A69 and B6528 and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;

b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;

d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U8289 BEECH HILL HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8289 Beech Hill from its junction with Low Burswell heading in a westerly direction for a length of 50 metres continuing on in a northerly direction for a length of 26 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 18th June 2026 until the 25th June 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 18th June 2026 until the 19th June 2026 between the hours of 09:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 25th June 2026.

There is no alternative route available.
